Update 2025-05-14: A nationwide rail strike in Italy planned for Saturday (17 May) has been called off. The rail workers have postponed their protest by one week, the unions announced on Tuesday (13 May). The strike, which will affect Trenitalia, Trenord and Italo services throughout Italy, is now scheduled to take place on Friday (23 May) from 1 am (local time) to 11.59 pm (local time), according to the USB union website.
