2025-10-21: Several Belgian trade unions have announced that the country will be shut down for a total of three days from 24 November to 26 November. The strike action will begin on 24 November with a rail strike, on 25 November public services will be paralysed and on 26 November, there will be a general strike.
Heightened security measures as well as disruptions to traffic and public life are to be expected. Violent clashes between protesters and security forces are possible. Travellers are advised to exercise caution, to strictly avoid demonstrations, road blockades, large gatherings, and deployments of security forces, and to follow instructions from security forces.
