Thailand, Flood, Level 3: Flooding in large parts of Trang, Songkhla, Narathiwat and Yala – Thailand [Update 1]

Update 2025-11-25: A state of emergency was declared on Tuesday (25 November) in Hat Yai district, Songkhla, as severe flooding affected multiple southern provinces.

2025-11-24: Due to the persistent rainfall in southern Thailand, flooding is occurring in the provinces of Yala, Narathiwat and Trang. According to media reports on Monday (24 November), residents of the districts of Yaha and Mueang (Yala), Sukhirin (Narathiwat) and the entire province of Trang have been asked to move their belongings to higher ground. Entire districts in Thammanoon-vithi and Sri Puvanart (Hat Yai, Songkhla) are also under water. One dead body was recovered here.
Local traffic disruptions are to be expected, floods and landslides remain possible in the coming days. Travellers should exercise heightened caution, especially near rivers/the sea and mountainslopes and follow instructions by authorities.
