Update 2025-12-09 (3): As of Tuesday evening (9 December), the situation on the border between Thailand and Cambodia had not yet calmed down. At a press conference, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul ruled out direct negotiations with the neighboring country to the east. Previously, Thai authorities had reported that positions on the border had been fired upon by the Cambodian side with a total of 5,000 rockets.

Update 2025-12-09 (2): According to the latest media reports, several Thai soldiers were killed in the exchange of fire on the border with Cambodia on Tuesday (9 December). According to reports, one person was killed by rocket fire in Surin and another person was killed in Si Sa Ket.

Update 2025-12-09 (1): A Cambodian attack on Tuesday (9 December) at around 4:50 am (local time) targeted several Thai border areas with rockets. The affected areas are Sam Taet, Phoo Phee, Chong Ta Tew, and Prasat Ta Khuai. However, no information about possible casualties was immediately available.
