Update 2026-01-20 (3): According to the latest reports from Tuesday (20 January), radiation levels remained within normal limits after power was restored to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and other nuclear facilities in the exclusion zone in northern Ukraine following a power shutdown caused by Russian missile and drone attacks on substations. Reportedly, the facilities are now reconnected to the grid and operating with sufficient fuel reserves and backup power systems.

Update 2026-01-20 (2): According to the latest reports, over thousands of residents have evacuated Kyiv city on Tuesday (20 January), after Russian missile and drone strikes damaged critical energy infrastructure. Restoration work is ongoing.

Update 2026-01-20 (1): The area surrounding Kyiv was also affected by the latest attacks. At least one person was killed in the district of Bucha.
