Update 2026-02-10 (4): According to the latest report on Monday (9 February), WestJet cancelled all flights to Cuba, including services from London International Airport (YXU) in London, Ontario, following warnings of a jet fuel shortage at major Cuban airports. Operations are expected to resume on 26 April, while a travel advisory applies to flights scheduled from Sunday (8 February) through 26 February. Travellers scheduled to depart Cuba on or before Sunday (16 February) will return as planned. Airlines stated that arrangements are underway to return travellers to Canada, including dispatching aircraft with sufficient fuel to avoid reliance on local fuel supplies.
Update 2026-02-10 (3): According to reports on Tuesday (10 February), Iberia is maintaining its flight frequency, but is offering refunds and ticket exchanges and, together with Air Europa, will make a stopover in Santo Domingo to refuel. Only Aeroméxico will maintain its flight operations unchanged.

Update 2026-02-10 (1): Authorities issued a notice that fuel will not be commercially available at the island’s airports until 11 March. Reportedly, over the coming days it will operate empty return flights to bring back thousands of passengers still on the island.
