2026-03-03: Shinkansen bullet train services were suspended on Wednesday (4 March) at around 5:50 am (local time) between Omiya Station in Saitama Prefecture and Sendai Station in Miyagi Prefecture due to a power outage reported between Shinshirakawa and Fukushima stations. The service resumption time remains unclear.
Further rail traffic disruptions are possible. Passengers travelling via the affected stations are advised to contact their railway or tour operator about the current rail status in advance to their journey.
