Update 2026-03-05 (9): According to the latest report on Thursday (5 March), Israeli forces launched a ground offensive accompanied by airstrikes targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in the Dahiya District of Beirut’s southern suburbs. Authorities issued evacuation orders for hundreds of thousands of residents, triggering widespread panic and severe traffic congestion.

Update 2026-03-05 (8): According to the latest report on Thursday (5 March), Israeli forces carried out strikes targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in the Dahiyeh area of Beirut’s southern suburbs, following an evacuation warning. Separately, an Israeli army raid on a house in Mashghara, Bekaa Valley, killed several people, and injured at least one person.

Update 2026-03-05 (7): The Israeli military issued an evacuation warning on Thursday (5 March) for residents of the villages of Douris, Brital and Majdaloun in the Bekaa Valley in eastern part of the country, urging civilians to move west via the Zahle–Baalbek road due to potential military operations targeting Hezbollah infrastructure. Separately, structural damage was reported following airstrikes in the towns of Toul and Kfar Tebnit in Nabatieh District, where several buildings were reportedly damaged or destroyed.

Update 2026-03-05 (6): Long lines of cars formed in the south of Beirut late on Thursday afternoon (5 March, local time) after the Israeli armed forces ordered the population to evacuate. A total of 80,000 people have been forced to flee in recent days as a result of the fighting. Meanwhile, the far-right Israeli minister Smotrich threatened extensive destruction: The Beirut district of Dahiyeh will end up resembling Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip, he said.
Meanwhile, the airstrikes continued: Israeli forces carried out an airstrike against targets in Labaya (Beka’a Plain) in the afternoon. Several people were killed in Qaqaiyat al-Jisr. Israel also claims to have assassinated a Hamas commander in the city of Tripoli.

Update 2026-03-05 (5): According to recent media reports, several people were killed in another Israeli airstrike in eastern Lebanon. The incident took place in Zahle on Thursday afternoon (5 March, local time).
As-Sawana, Zahrani, Zibqin, Sir al-Gharbiya and Kfour are among the areas in southern Lebanon that have been hit in the past few hours.
In another attack, the two larger towns of Harouf and Kfar Rumman were shelled.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military called for further evacuations in southern Beirut.

Update 2026-03-05 (4): As reported on Thursday morning (5 March, local time), several people were killed in an Israeli air strike in the village of Kfar Tebnit (Nabatieh). The attacks continue unabated, with explosions occurring particularly in the vicinity of the city of Nabatieh.

Update 2026-03-05 (3): Several people including a Hamas official were killed while another one was injured on Thursday (5 March) after a drone strike on a residential building in the Beddawi Palestinian refugee camp near Tripoli. Reportedly, the Israeli military issued an evacuation warning for residents in areas south of the Litani River in southern part of the country.

Update 2026-03-05 (2): According to the sources from Thursday (5 March), several people were killed following a drone strike on the Tyre–Naqoura road near the town of Qalila in Tyre District. Separately, additional airstrikes were reported on a residential building in Al Shahabiya in Tyre District, as well as in the Beirut southern suburbs of Ghobeiri, Haret Hreik and Bir al-Abed. Further air attacks were also reported in Nabatieh. The extent of additional casualties or damage from these strikes was not immediately confirmed.

Update 2026-03-05 (1): According to the latest reports, the Israeli military has now carried out an airstrike against the building in the Haret Hreik district of Beirut, which was previously ordered to be evacuated. There were also unannounced airstrikes against Hezbollah facilities in other southern suburbs.
The Beddawi camp, a Palestinian refugee camp near Tripoli, was also shelled.
