Update 2026-05-28: According to the sources from Thursday (28 May), the military activity was reported near Bandar Abbas in Hormozgan Province along the Strait of Hormuz. Multiple explosions were heard east of Bandar Abbas, while Iranian air defence systems were activated. An exchange of fire involving Iranian naval forces and a US-linked tanker near the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian authorities also reported that several drones near the area were intercepted. No casualties or significant property damage were immediately reported.
