Update 2026-07-24: According to media reports from Friday (24 July), numerous ferry services between Taiwan, the outlying islands, and mainland China have been cancelled due to the approaching Typhoon Noul. Among the routes affected were those to Matsu, Kinmen, Lanyu, and Ludao; travellers are urged to avoid trips to the outlying islands or to use any remaining daytime connections to return. As a precautionary measure, several highways in eastern and southern Taiwan may be closed.
