2026-08-06: On Thursday (6 August), residents of Lower Kohistan were urged to evacuate areas along riverbanks due to the risk of flooding caused by ongoing monsoon rains. A bridge on the road between Dubair and Ranowalia has already been destroyed.
Local traffic disruptions are to be expected, floods and landslides remain possible in the coming days. Travellers should exercise heightened caution, especially near rivers and mountainslopes and follow instructions by authorities.
