Cathay Pacific is pleased to announce that its new direct passenger service between Hong Kong and Almaty is now open for booking, with its first flight taking off on 9 January 2027. This will be Cathay Pacific’s first destination in Central Asia and the only direct passenger service linking Hong Kong and Kazakhstan, reaffirming the airline’s ongoing commitment to growing Hong Kong’s connectivity with Belt and Road countries. Cathay Pacific operates direct flights between Hong Kong and Almaty three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday), with CX681 departing Hong Kong at 16:25 and arriving in Almaty at 20:30, and CX680 departing Almaty at 21:50 and arriving in Hong Kong at 07:00 the following day.
