Update 2026-09-07 (3): Heavy rain associated with Tropical Depression Krovánh (22W) and a severe weather front continued to affect parts of Japan on Monday (7 September). A person died in Iwaki, Fukushima, after her car was submerged in an underpass, while evacuation orders in Iwaki, Hirono and parts of Ibaraki and Kanagawa were lifted. The Japan Meteorological Agency warned of landslides in parts of Chiba, Saitama and Fukushima and forecast further heavy rain along the Pacific coast. Krovánh was located east of Kadena Air Base and was moving northeastward, with maximum sustained winds.
