United Arab Emirates, Epidemic, Level 4: COVID-19 pandemic – United Arab Emirates [Update 104]

Update 2021-08-19: The Abu Dhabi authorities now recognise vaccinations carried out abroad under certain circumstances. Several conditions have to be met. For example, the vaccination must have been carried out with a vaccine that is approved in the United Arab Emirates. The recognition of one’s own vaccination must be applied for at the immigration authorities. Fully vaccinated travellers from Germany must currently undergo a PCR test upon entry and on the sixth day after entry. In addition, a negative PCR test no more than 72 hours old must be presented before departure. Travellers who have not been fully vaccinated or whose vaccination has not been accepted must also undergo another PCR test on the ninth day after entry.
As of Friday (20 August), only fully vaccinated persons are allowed to visit facilities such as shopping malls, restaurants, museums, amusement parks and cultural centres in Abu Dhabi. In addition, a PCR test must be carried out every 30 days. Access authorisation is controlled via the AlHosn app.
