France, Strike, Level 4: Countywide general strikes and transport strikes between 6 and 16 February – France [Update 11]

Update 2023-02-09: According to the sources, the UNSA Keolis Rennes union members have scheduled a demonstration on Saturday (11 February) to protest against the pension reform in Rennes city of Brittany Region. Reportedly, bus and metro traffic will likely face severe disruption.

Update 2023-02-08: According to reports from Wednesday (8 February), the CGT and SUD-Rail railway unions took part in strikes on Wednesday, but will likely not participate in the general strike scheduled for Saturday (11 February). Instead, employees of these unions have been encouraged to participate in demonstrations. The CFDT and UNSA unions which operate the SNCF trains will also likely participate in demonstrations and not strike on Saturday. In general, unions have called for the focus to be on countrywide demonstrations on Saturday (11 February). Another countrywide general strike has been called for and is scheduled to take place on 16 February. This strike will also be accompanied by demonstrations and impact public transport.
