Canada, Wildfire, Level 3: Wildfires in British Columbia; evacuations in Shuswap – Canada [Update 4]

Update 2023-09-13: According to reports, the out-of-control McDougall Creek wildfire continued to burn near West Kelowna on Wednesday (13 September). It has been reported that around 4,858 properties in the area remain on alert and evacuation orders are still in place for at least 380 properties. Residents living in properties located between the 900 and 1400 blocks of Westside Road on Okanagan Lake are reportedly permitted to return home. However, residents should still be prepared to evacuate at short notice. Evacuation orders have reportedly also been lifted for the Lower Glenrosa, Smith Creek, Westbank Centre, Shannon Lake, and the West Kelowna Business Park neighbourhoods of West Kelowna.
