2023-10-09: UJA Federation of Greater Toronto have scheduled a demonstration on Monday (9 October) at around 7 pm (local time) in Mel Lastman Square of Toronto city, Ontario Province, in response to Hamas’s attack on Israel and the violence that followed, which has claimed more than a thousand lives. Moreover, heavy security forces will be deployed at both places.
Heightened security measures and operations of security forces are to be expected. Violent clashes between protesters and security forces are possible. Travellers are advised to exercise caution, to strictly avoid demonstrations, road blockades, large gatherings, and deployments of security forces, and to follow instructions from security forces.
