Update 2023-10-25 (2): Palestinian reports said at least 80 people were killed by Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip Wednesday night (24/25 October, local time).
Update 2023-10-25 (1): According to reports, Israeli forces carried out around 400 airstrikes against targets across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday (24 October). Palestinian officials have stated that around 700 Palestinians were killed as a result of those airstrikes, although this number has not yet been independently verified. If it is accurate, it would represent the highest number of casualties in one day during this conflict thus far. The number of functioning medical facilities has continued to decrease due to lack of power and the ongoing airstrikes. The United Nations has stated that they will stop sending aid into Gaza on Wednesday evening (25 October, local time) if they are not given fuel to bring in as well.
