India, Demonstration / Riot, Level 3: Farmer protest in Delhi from 13 February – India [Update 11]

Update 2024-02-14 (4): The Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ugrahan) has scheduled a railway blockade on Thursday (15 February) from 12 pm (local time) to 4 pm (local time) in Punjab to show solidarity with the farmers marching towards Delhi and against the dictatorial attitude of the Haryana government.

Update 2024-02-14 (3): In the course of the farmers’ protests, there will also be restrictions on train services. Tracks in Jethuke (Bathinda), Moga, Mansa, Malaut, Valla (Amritsar), Barnala, Sangrur and Budhlada (Haryana) are scheduled to come down on Wednesday (14 February). This will have an impact on the Amritsar-Jalandhar-Delhi, Mansa-Bathinda-Delhi and Ludhiana-Ferozepur services.
Meanwhile, around 25,000 tractors have joined the protest march to Delhi.

Update 2024-02-14 (2): Violent clash between security officials and the protestors were reported on Wednesday (14 February) towards Delhi. Reportedly, the security officials used tear gas to disperse the protestors at the Shambhu border near Ambala.

Update 2024-02-14 (1): The farmers are set to resume the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on Wednesday (14 February) at around 9 am (local time) towards Delhi. Reportedly, a hundred people were injured during the march on Tuesday (13 February).
