2025-05-15: Strike day in Italy: According to the latest information, there will be several strikes in the Italian aviation and taxi sector on 28 May, some of them nationwide. Easyjet flight staff will be on strike nationwide between 1 pm and 5 pm (local time). During the same period, a Swissport strike at Milan Linate Airport (LIN) is also expected to have a nationwide impact. The taxi union USB Taxi is organising extensive, all-day strikes in Rome, Naples and Turin. A regional strike at local transport operator Autoguidovie will lead to restrictions on public transport in Milan, Pavia, Cremona, Monza and Brianza.
In case of a strike, major disruptions in air travel and taxi sector are to be expected. Delays and cancellations are likely. Before and after official strike hours, disruptions are also possible due to organisational reasons.
