Update 2025-06-19 (1): Multiple soldiers were killed on Tuesday (17 June) after several clashes broke out between the Myanmar military and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) along with allied forces at around 9 am (local time) near Hmaw Si Za, Hpa Yar Kone, and Hmaw Wan Lay villages in Hpakant Township, Kachin State. The exchange of gunfire lasted until 3 pm (local time).
