2025-07-09: According to reports, there have been heavy Russian attacks on Ukraine since Tuesday evening (8 July, local time). Explosions were reported from several regions. Drones, missiles and a MiG-31K fighter jet were used in the attacks. Kharkiv, Donetsk, Poltava, Chernihiv and areas near Kyiv were affected. Western areas of the country are also under attack. The Ukrainian air defense systems are said to have intercepted at least 711 drones and destroyed at least seven missiles.
Heightened security measures and operations of security forces are to be expected. Ongoing armed clashes are to be expected. Travellers are advised to exercise high caution, to strictly avoid operations of security forces, and to follow instructions from security forces.
