2025-07-24: At least ten people were injured in several Ukrainian cities in the night (local time) to Thursday (24 July) in renewed massive Russian air attacks. At least seven people were injured in Cherkasy. The fire department had to extinguish fires in various places and the power supply in the city centre failed. In the port city of Odesa, the well-known Privos market was set ablaze by the attacks. A nine-storey residential building was also badly hit, with apartments burning out over several floors. A detached house and a petrol station were also destroyed. According to the authorities, at least three people were injured in the city. Several fires also broke out in the neighboring regional capital of Mykolaiv as a result of drone attacks. However, the attacks only caused damage to property. No people were injured.
Heightened security measures and operations of security forces are to be expected. Ongoing armed clashes are to be expected. Travellers are advised to exercise high caution, to strictly avoid operations of security forces, and to follow instructions from security forces.
