Russia, Tsunami, Level 4: High tsunami risk following strong earthquake – Russia [Update 3]

Update 2025-07-30 (3): According to media reports, a tsunami with a wave height of three to four meters was observed on Kamchatka Peninsula. Damage was reported in the town of Severo-Kurilsk on the island of Paramushir.

Update 2025-07-30 (2): Current forecasts indicate that waves of over 3 meters could reach the coasts at the specified times.

Update 2025-07-30 (1): There are currently no forecasts for the effects of a tsunami. Should an impact occur, it will be felt in Petropavlovsk at 11:59 pm (local time) on Tuesday (29 July), and on Wednesday (30 July) in Medny at 12:35 am, in Karaginsky at 12:40 am (local time), in Urup at 12:47 am (local time) and in Severo-Kurilsk at 1:10 am (local time).
