Update 2025-08-11: So far, Kumamoto Prefecture has been the hardest hit by the storms. Flooding has been reported in the cities of Tamana and Misato in particular. Hundreds of thousands of residents have been ordered to evacuate due to the risk of landslides.
Several people are also reported missing in the city of Fukuoka.
