2025-08-25: Air traffic disruptions are expected across the country on Thursday (28 August) as air traffic control officers (ATCOs) announced a four-hour industrial action from 9:30 am to 01:30 pm (local time), in line with a nationwide general strike. A warning has been issued as flights are likely to face potential delays, cancellations, and rerouting during the affected period.
Heightened security measures as well as disruptions to traffic and public life are to be expected. Violent clashes between protesters and security forces are possible. Travellers are advised to exercise caution, to strictly avoid demonstrations, road blockades, large gatherings, and deployments of security forces, and to follow instructions from security forces.
