2025-08-26: According to reports on Tuesday (26 August), several Russian airports temporarily restricted operations during the night (local time) due to Ukrainian combat drones in the sky. Among others, Pulkovo Airport (LED) in St. Petersburg and the Princess Olga Pskov International Airport (PKV), Strigino International Airport (GOJ), Kazan International Airport (KZN), Volgograd International Airport (VOG) and Begishevo Airport (NBC) were affected. According to the Russian military, the Crimean peninsula annexed by Russia was also attacked by Ukrainian drones.
Heightened security measures and operations of security forces are to be expected. Ongoing armed clashes are to be expected. Travellers are advised to exercise high caution, to strictly avoid operations of security forces, and to follow instructions from security forces.
