Update 2025-10-15 (1): Fresh clashes were reported on Tuesday (14 October) between Pakistani and Afghan forces along the border in Kurram District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. According to Pakistani state media, Afghan troops opened fire, prompting a strong response from Pakistani forces that reportedly destroyed several Afghan tanks and border posts. Security sources also claimed that a training facility belonging to the Pakistani Taliban was targeted. This marks the second exchange of fire between the two sides within a week. Border crossings between Pakistan and Afghanistan remain closed amid heightened tensions.
