The new partnership will see Starlink technology fitted across BA’s short- and long-haul fleets, promising high-speed, low-lag internet in every cabin. The new system will be a significant step up. At present, British Airways only offers free wifi to passengers in first class and, even then, on a single device. Connection requires logging into the “BAWi-Fi” network once the aircraft reaches cruising altitude. However, not all BA aircraft are equipped with the system – and customer feedback has often highlighted patchy coverage and inconsistent speeds.
