Update 2025-11-11: Authorities have issued a warning and evacuated thousands of residents on Tuesday (11 November) as Typhoon Fung-wong approached the island’s southwestern coast. The storm, expected to make landfall near Kaohsiung on Wednesday (12 November), is forecast to bring heavy rainfall to eastern regions including Taitung and Hualien before re-entering the Pacific Ocean. Coastal areas may experience strong winds, rough seas, and heavy rainfall as the typhoon approaches. In addition, Korean Air announced that flight delays and possible cancellations are expected between Tuesday (11 November) and Friday (14 November) due to adverse weather conditions affecting airports in Fuzhou, Xiamen, Taichung, and Taipei/Taoyuan. Passengers traveling from, to, or through the affected locations are advised to check flight status in advance, as schedules may change depending on evolving weather conditions.
