2025-11-22: Several airlines halted services on Saturday (22 November) after the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) warned of a potentially hazardous situation in Venezuelan airspace due to worsening security and heightened military activity. Iberia (IB), TAP Air Portugal (TP), LATAM (LA), Avianca (AV), GOL (G3), and Caribbean (BW) Airlines cancelled flights, with Iberia (IB) suspending Caracas routes from Monday (24 November) until further notice. LATAM (LA) cancelled its Sunday Bogotá service, while Copa Airlines (CM) and Wingo (P5) continued operating.
Further air traffic disruptions are possible. Passengers travelling via the affected airport are advised to contact their airline or tour operator about the current flight status in advance to their journey to the airport.
