2026-01-07: Several people were killed on Tuesday (6 January, local time) following separate incidents of gun violence and violent clashes in Shikarpur District, Sindh Province. Gun violence was reported in a riverine village in the Kot Shahu area, while a separate violent clash between rival tribes was reported in the riverine village of Abdul Haq Badani.
Heightened security measures and operations of security forces are to be expected. Violent clashes between protesters and security forces are possible. Travellers are advised to exercise caution, to strictly avoid demonstrations, road blockades, large gatherings, and deployments of security forces, and to follow instructions from security forces.
