Update 2026-01-09: According to the latest reports, the violent clash between protesters and security officials on Thursday (8 January) was reported outside the Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Reportedly, security forces fired pepper balls, chemical irritants, stun grenades and made detentions after objects were thrown, and some demonstrators refused to disperse. Journalists were also hit by pepper balls.
