Update 2026-01-13: According to media reports from Tuesday (13 January), there were rebel attacks on Sunday (11 January) in connection with the elections in Hpruso Township (Kayah), Taung Thone Lone (Tanintharyi), Gangaw, Seikphyu, Salin and Kanma (Magway), Chaung-U, Butalin and Myinmu (Sagaing) and Htantabin (Bago). Several security forces were killed or injured. At least one civilian is also said to have been injured.
