Update 2026-01-13 (2): According to the latest media reports from Tuesday (13 January), the Iranian authorities have provided official casualty figures for the first time. According to these reports, around 2,000 people have been killed since December 28, including security forces and civilians.
Meanwhile, more airlines are suspending their flights to Iran: It has now been announced that Austrian Airlines (AUA) has also extended the suspension of all flights to/from Tehran until at least 21 January.
