2026-02-24: Several security officials were killed, while several others, including civilians, were injured on Tuesday (24 February) at around 6:54 pm (local time) after a suicide bomber detonated explosives near an inter-provincial security check-post in the Dajal area of Bhakkar District, Punjab Province. Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
Heightened security measures and operations of security forces are to be expected. Armed clashes are possible during arrests of terror suspects. Travellers are advised to exercise high caution, to strictly avoid operations of security forces, and to follow instructions from security forces.
