Update 2026-03-09 (4): According to the latest report on Monday (9 March), air defenses shot down several drones attempting to target the Victoria base within Baghdad International Airport (BGW). The drones were reportedly intercepted before reaching their intended targets. Additionally, early Tuesday (10 March, local time), an airstrike targeted the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Al-Qaim District, western Al-Anbar Province, near the border with Syria. Several nearby locations along the border were also reportedly hit. Moreover, the United Arab Emirates reported that its consulate general in Iraqi Kurdistan was targeted in a drone attack, causing damage but no casualties.
