The Israeli armed forces confirmed a new extensive wave of attacks, a total of 200 targets in western and central Iran are said to have been attacked in the past 24 hours. The armed conflict is now entering its 14th day.
Observers point out that there could be protests against the regime on Tuesday (17 March) before the Iranian New Year, and even see potential in this that could influence the course of the war. Every year, demonstrations and riots occur on what is known as Chaharshanbe Suri, but the Iranian government has already announced an even stronger response to potential protests than in January.
Update 2026-03-13 (1): According to the latest reports on Friday (13 March), several people were killed, and dozens of others were injured following an Israeli air strike targeting a residential building in the city of Arak. Reportedly, US and Israeli strikes have hit parts of Tehran, with explosions felt by residents and shaking nearby homes.
