2026-06-01: Clashes between protesters and security officials were reported on Sunday night (31 May, local time) after dozens of protesters broke into a police station compound and set fire to nearby vegetation in Beit Shemesh city. Reportedly, protesters forced to open the compound gate and hurled debris at the station, while security officials were deployed to the scene and dispersed the crowd, reportedly using stun grenades. Authorities later stated that control of the compound had been restored as operations continued in the surrounding streets.
