China, Flood, Level 3: Flood alert in Guangdong – China [Update 1]

2026-06-15: Authorities issued an alert on Sunday (14 June) as heavy to torrential rainfall increased the risk of flash floods and landslides in parts of Guangdong. Thousands of people were evacuated, while flood warnings were issued for areas including Huicheng and Huiyang districts in Huizhou and Pingshan district in Shenzhen. Rail services on the Beijing–Kowloon Railway between Yangcun Township and Huizhou Station were also disrupted.
Local traffic disruptions are to be expected, floods and landslides remain possible in the coming days. Travellers should exercise heightened caution, especially near rivers and mountainslopes and follow instructions by authorities.
