Update 2026-07-09 (1): US forces launched additional strikes against Iran on Thursday (9 July), including an attack on Iranshahr Airport (IHR) in Iranshahr, Sistan and Baluchestan Province. Several explosions were reported across the city, with projectiles striking the airport’s flight facilities building and meteorological station, damaging both structures. A firefighter was killed while responding to the attack. The broader wave of strikes also reportedly targeted IRGC coastal radar, anti-ship missile and air defence systems, as well as a railway bridge near Aqqala in Golestan Province.
