Update 2021-08-01 (2): Due to the removal of the category “basic risk area”, the entire country will no longer be classified as a risk area by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) as of Sunday (01 August). However, this does not necessarily mean that there is a lower risk of infection in this country.
Update 2021-08-01 (1): According to media reports from Sunday (01 August), the lockdown measures in the capital and other high-risk provinces will be extended until at least the end of August. Additionally, from Tuesday (03 August), 29 provinces will be classified as dark red for at least 14 days, which among other things will result in travel restrictions, closure of shopping centres as well as curfews.
