Update 2022-03-02: Official decisions on Malaysia’s repeatedly announced opening to tourism have not yet been made, even in March the country stay closed. According to reports from 21 February, the Minister of Health expects the opening for the second quarter (i.e. April at the earliest). One exception so far is travel to the island of Langkawi (‘Langkawi Travel Bubble’), which is allowed for fully vaccinated tourists from Germany, Austria and other countries.
