Update 2022-05-15 (2): At least two civilians have been killed by Russian shelling in the town of Zyverodonetsk. Despite heavy attacks by Russian units, Ukrainian defenders still control ten per cent of the eastern Ukrainian region of Luhansk. So far, Russian units have reportedly been unable to capture the outskirts of the towns of Rubishne, Syeverdonetsk and Lysychansk.
Update 2022-05-15 (1): According to current reports, there is heavy fighting especially in the border area of the Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts. Increased fighting is also reported in the area around the city of Izium in Kharkiv.
Ukrainian authorities report that the Russian military dropped banned phosphorus bombs on the Azovstal premises during the night (local time). In addition, rocket attacks were reported to have occurred in Lviv oblast for the first time after several days of calm. The area around the military compound in Yavoriv was shelled.
