Update 2022-05-23: Japan has updated its quarantine regulations. As of 1 June, the quarantine rules for people who are eligible to enter the country are as follows: Those entering from a blue list country will not be required to have an on-site test or enter quarantine, regardless of vaccination status. Travellers from yellow list countries must enter a 7-day quarantine after the on-site test, from which, however, they can exempt themselves after the 3rd day. (Vaccinated persons are not subject to testing or quarantine requirements in this case). Travellers from red-listed countries must still go to a quarantine hotel for 3 days; vaccinated persons can alternatively choose a 7-day home quarantine, from which they can also end quarantine after the 3rd day.
