2022-10-21: On Friday morning (21 October, local time), a collision occurred between the ferry “Tiger” and a water cab off the coast of the Wadden Sea island of Terschelling in the province of Friesland. While the ferry, which was sailing to Harlingen on the mainland with 27 people on board, was only damaged, the water cab capsized. At least two passengers of the water taxi died. Several people were injured. Emergency personnel are still on the job, he said.
