2022-11-21: According to the sources, South African National Taxi Council (Santaco) will conduct several taxi strikes on Monday (21 November) and Tuesday (22 November) against the decisions made by the provincial government in Western Cape Province. Reportedly, violence and wilful burning of personal property were the outcomes of the previous protest.
If the strike proceeds as scheduled and is followed by enough workers, local traffic disruptions are to be expected. Before and after official strike hours, disruptions are also possible due to organisational reasons. Travellers should schedule additional time for their journey.
