Update 2023-08-24 (3): The final evacuation orders for Kelowna will be lifted Thursday (24 August). Evacuations will remain in effect for West Kelowna and other Okanagan Lake communities for the time being.

Update 2023-08-24 (2): The daytime closure of airspace over Kelowna continues. This has recently been extended regularly by one day at a time.

Update 2023-08-24 (1): According to the sources, new evacuation orders were issued on Tuesday evening (22 August, local time) following The Stein Mountain wildfire burning in Fraser Canyon, British Columbia Province. Reportedly, the blaze has destroyed a significant amount of land. As of Wednesday morning (23 August, local time), The Stein Mountain wildfire remains out of control.
