Update 2023-08-29 (3): According to current media reports from Tuesday evening (29 August, local time), the weather situation in Bavaria has partially eased. According to the latest reports, water levels have already dropped in some places. In Passau, however, streets continued to be under water.

Update 2023-08-29 (2): On Tuesday (29 August) the extreme south of the country continues to be warned of heavy rainfall. Areas from the Alps and Lake Constance to the Upper Palatinate are likely to be affected. Also in Eastern Saxony and the Erzgebirge may still be heavy rainfall.

Update 2023-08-29 (1): According to the sources, the water level on the Danube river in Munich, Bavaria is expected to rise on Wednesday (30 August). The flood control report also predicts modest night time overflows on the Danube river, from Iller to the Isar. The highest recorded level in Passau city is nearing the apex area. Additionally, level 3 warnings have been issued for Wasserburg.
