Hong Kong, Severe Weather, Level 3: Disruptions due to heavy rainfall and flooding countrywide – Hong Kong [Update 4]

Update 2023-09-11: According to reports, heavy rainfall continued to impact areas of Hong Kong on Monday (11 September). It has been reported that over 100 mm of rain fell during a one-hour period in Sai Kung on Monday. There were also reports of flooding in Kwun Tong and Tseung Kwan O as well. Road closures have also been reported, including on Kwun Tong Road and Tseung Kwan O Road. One of the exits at the Wong Tai Sin metro station also remains closed. Reportedly, both a landslide warning and a thunderstorm warning were still in effect as of 1 pm on Monday (11 September, local time). It has been reported that technicians were still working to restore internet and phone services in certain areas on Monday (11 September). There have also been reports that several mountains in Tai Tam are currently at risk of collapse due to the heavy rainfall. Landslides have already impacted areas in the Redhill Peninsula, with some residents having been evacuated on Saturday (9 September).
